Sound Therapy
Sound Therapy has been traced back to ancient times and used in many cultures around the world as a way to heal various physical, mental, and emotional ailments.
The power of Sound Therapy lies within two principles = resonance and entrainment.
Resonance is a principle meaning objects will naturally vibrate at certain frequencies, these are known as resonance frequencies. When an external force and/or vibrating system approaches another object, it will begin to vibrate in response. When we refer to sound therapy, specific tones can encourage the body’s cells to vibrate at their optimal frequencies.
Entrainment involves synchronising a faster rhythm to a slower rhythm. Our bodies are rhythmic beings with many natural rhythms. When we are stressed or unwell these rhythms can become irregular. Entrainment helps bring these frequencies back into alignment.
Sound travels 4 x faster in water and with our bodies being made up of 70% water, the human body is the perfect sound resonator. By applying 432hz instruments to the body, sound healing supports the natural frequencies to correct imbalances, uncover emotions and facilitate inner harmony.
During the sessions, we use high frequency instruments which are sourced from some of the best suppliers around the world. These Instruments are made true to their tradition with sacred mantras chanted into the instrument with each hit of the mallet.
Whether you are visiting due to an energetic or physical reason, we aim to find the underlying cause. Throughout the session we create an intention which is specific to you, and through particular techniques we identify where the intention resides so we can use clearing techniques to facilitate balance. These instruments are also used to improve the flow of ‘qi’ through particular meridians. Meridians are believed to be channels that form a network, through which vital-energy or ‘qi’ (pronounced chi) flows. These sessions also include aftercare specifically tailored to you to facilitate the integration process.
